The pathway

Four steps, no portal login

  1. 1

    Send the referral

    Email a referral letter to the referrals address below, or write your request on your own headed paper. We accept your practice's standard referral format.

  2. 2

    We contact the patient

    Our team phones the patient directly to arrange a time, usually within one working day of receiving the referral.

  3. 3

    The scan is performed

    Performed and reported by a consultant radiologist or accredited sonographer, with the clinical question you asked answered explicitly.

  4. 4

    You receive the report

    The written report is returned to you, typically within three working days. Urgent or unexpected findings are phoned through on the day.

Secure email

Send the referral letter from your practice email account to:

Please use Healthmail where your practice has it, and avoid sending patient identifiers from a personal email account.

Telephone

For urgent studies, or to discuss whether ultrasound is the appropriate first investigation, call the clinic and ask for the reporting radiologist.

Referral form

A downloadable referral form will be available here shortly. In the meantime your practice's own referral letter is perfectly acceptable.

Please note: this build does not include an online upload portal. Referrals arrive by email or telephone, and are handled by clinic staff. A secure referral upload area is available as a later addition if referral volume makes it worthwhile.
